if he was born in the ‘70s you just know he would be in the best indie alt rock group ever

I heard rumors that he's about to drop Gymnopédie No. 4, I hope it's true, and my very reliable source says he's gonna go on tour with Kendrick Lamar and Debussy too.

this is literally music to listen when you're tired of listening to music. it takes u to the suprasensible world and the ethereal feeling is incredible, for a moment i dont feel the excruciating weight of being alive in this material reality. for a moment i can stop taking this big rock to the top of the mountain.

I've been waiting for almost 100 years for his next tour. I hope he comes back from his break to start performing again.

The more I listen to and explore of Satie, the more the idea of one of the true "greatest artists" is being cemented through my perspective of him. It seems that perhaps from what I have explored thus far, he is the first true European modernist. Perhaps the territory he was fixated on had been flirted with, Scriabin, Korsakov, Alkan, and the likes of others. I like a lot of Romantic era music, but I think even to this day many of the concepts and the music itself presents an overworked and superficial presentation of emotion and expression. Satie was able to convey a true sense of introspective, impressionistic, and at times expressionistic emotional perspective. Perhaps he wasn't "ahead of his time", as any artist is realistically of their time, but he was something else.
