This album is so strange to me, I heard the ones that came before and after and thought Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame (I adore that one) must be their most pop-like album, but this is beyond! at points I was even wondering whether my copy was mislabeled and by someone else lol. The ending is almost the only part that sounds like it exists in the Dol Guldur - Let Mortal Heroes... continuum

Fantastic record from one of the best Black Metal bands. Such an epic sound -- majestic, beautiful, dark and ferocious all at once. A masterpiece.

Can't choose between this and Minas Morgul if a gun was held to my head, but probably leaning more towards the latter.

Excellent album, but always hated the production. Having the vinyl totally changes that now.....

Is it just me, or Rhûn really has worse sound quality than rest of record? For me it's sounds like it was recorded through a thick wall, whereas other songs sounds much clearer. Besides from this -- great piece of work

This album sends shivers down my back every time I listen to it. Probably my favourite album.

The last two songs save the album from mediocrity (mediocrity by Summong standards, that is). Those two song are paragons of musicanship.

This album is amazing. Probably my favorite right now, but all of Summoning's albums are very good.

I've seen a lot of people accuse Summoning of just recording the same album over and over again, but this and Oath Bound are two very different records (and two very excellent records as well). I've always thought that the mark of a good band is the ability to establish their own unique and recognizable style while also keeping each album fresh. Summoning does that beautifully.

'Long Lost...", "...Marble Eyes", "The Rotting Horse...", "The Loud Music...", "A Distant Flame..." - No words I have to describe their might!
