In general, the more popular a movie/game/etc. gets, the more listeners the score will have. Thats a shame sometimes, because many unpopular movies/games/etc. have really good scores and vice-versa.

Pretty much, yes. No matter what genre it is - if it featured in your favourite movie, you're gonna like it. Soundtrack is also often a piece of good instrumental/electronic/whatever music, though ;D
